NXT UK Exclusive Deals Come With Plenty Of Restrictions

NXT UK talent signed exclusive deals with the WWE over the weekend that came with many restrictions. The talent can no longer work outside WWE affiliated promotions, but did get a pay increase.

Additional details were provided today by Dave Meltzer at Wrestling Observer Radio. Previously, NXT UK talent were given $20,000 contracts with the WWE, but were able to accept independent bookings. The WWE has now increased talent pay, but have put many restrictions in the contract clause.

WWE NXT UK Stars Allowed To Work With The Following Independent Companies

In the past, NXT UK talent could with stars from various promotions, but now that has changed. NXT UK talent can only work WWE affiliated promotions like PROGRESS and OTT, but if New Japan, Impact or Revolution Pro Wrestlers are also working the show, they cannot work with NXT UK talent.

WWE wants to have exclusive rights to any talent they have signed, and would rather not have injuries occur, and with WWE is going full throttle with their NXT UK division, and want to ensure the talent are only working approved matches with any promotion affiliated with WWE.
