FOX Wants RAW Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey On Smackdown

The WWE is moving their Smackdown Live program from USA Network to FOX next fall. FOX wants to focus on more of the athleticism on the program according to recent reports from Dave Meltzer.

Today, Justin LaBar Wrestling Inc reported that FOX wants Ronda Rousey on the program due to her MMA popularity and athletic credibility.

The WWE also has interest in bringing Daniel Cormier for a possible announcing position, with a tryout scheduled soon in Orlando, FL. The Smackdown brand will be where he ends up if he does join the company according to reports from Dave Meltzer back in October.

With the brand split scheduled to continue going into WWE’s move to FOX. The Smackdown crew will do the FOX show on Friday, and film select house shows on Saturday for the WWE Network. The RAW team will work Sundays for house shows, as well as PPV events and RAW on Monday.

The WWE historically does Superstar Shakeups after Wrestlemania, it will be interesting to see who is moved to the blue brand.
