The Young Bucks Are Protecting Themselves For The Future
The Young Bucks spoke recently to Petey Williams of the Wrestling Perspective Podcast, and the million dollar question was asked regarding the filings of numerous trademarks linked to the group for All Elite Wrestling.
Pro Wrestling Sheet obtained an early clip from the podcast where The Young Bucks speak about their future in wrestling. The duo were very careful with the way the addressed the trademarks, stating they are “protecting themselves” and keeping options open, and how they have investors who want to work with them
The Young Bucks also state that they have offers from every major wrestling company as well, and they are keeping their options open. The reiterated the a statement from Cody regarding if the team will stick together once contracts expire, and they absolutely are planning on keeping The Elite as a unit regardless what the future holds.
“It felt like more than just a wrestling event, it felt like a religious experience, and I remember asking the fans, do you want more of this?”
“That we night we sat and and as a group, and talked about the possibility of doing another one…after you have a hit movie, you talk about the sequel, immediately we talked about doing another one, and I think right then and there we knew, in some way there would be another one eventually”
“Basically, we’re in a situation now, where we don’t exactly know what we’re going to do, but we want to protect ourselves, in case decide to do something, we want to be proactive, we want to get ahead of this thing”
“Cody also said on the mic, we’re all sticking together, and we’re going to do this thing as a unit, so whatever we do decide to do, we absolutely are going to do this as a team, we’re going to do this as The Elite”
“We have offers on the table from every major company in the world, and then there is investors who want to work with us too, we haven’t said really no to anything, we’re keeping our options open, and protecting ourselves at the same time”
