Shane Strickland Will Continue To Work MLW Until Contract Issue Resolved

Shane Strickland is reportedly headed to the WWE, but an issue with his Lucha Underground contract is delaying the process. His exit from MLW may also be delayed until the contract situation with Lucha Underground is resolved.

According to Mike Johnson at PWinsider, Stickland’s deal with Lucha Underground is coming to an end, but apparently there is an issue with the contract that needs to be resolved before he can sign with WWE. No word on exactly what the issue is, but it could be a non-compete clause, and until the contract situation is cleared up, he cannot sign with WWE. Strickland worked Lucha Underground under the name “Killshot”

WWE are hosting their next Performance Center class in January, and Strickland was expected to attend.

Strickland was supposed to be finishing up dates with Major League Wrestling, but will continue to work for the promotion, and is advertised for the MLW Superfight event on 2/3/19 in Philadelphia
