WWE Dropping Storylines

The McMahon family announced a “fresh start” this past Monday on RAW, and with that we are expected to see multiple storylines dropped.

Dave Meltzer notes in the latest edition of The Wrestling Observer newsletter that it appears the WWE will be dropping multiple storylines.

The following storylines have been dropped

  • Alexa Bliss as authority figure. There was talk of her replacing Baron Corbin at one point
  • Paige as an authority figure. No confirmation on her next role
  • Shane McMahon turning heel following winning the Crown Jewel tournament. This was first teased, then put on hold. It was set to begin once again in the new year, but is now dropped.
  • Fallout from Smackdown losing every match at Survivor Series has been dropped
  • Lucha House Party rules

Finn Balor Expected To Get Push

Finn Balor’s role as a midcarder may be finally be over. Dave Meltzer notes that Balor is expected to get a significant push, at least for a little while.

This could explain why Balor did defeat Drew Mcintyre at TLC, as well as winning a Triple Threat match on RAW this past week.
