Possible Backstage Roles For All Elite Wrestling , Several WWE Stars Watching Closely
Possible All Elite Wrestling Backstage Roles
All Elite Wrestling was officially announced today after much anticipation. We do know that Jacksonville Jaguars co-owner Tony Khan is the head of the company, and members of The Elite are part of the organization.
Several talent are signed to multi-year deals with the company according to Dave Meltzer, including Cody Rhodes. The Young Bucks are expected to put pen to paper within the next few days, as well as other announcements set to take place over the next few weeks.
Ryan Satin of The Pro Wrestling Sheet is reporting possible roles for Cody and The Young Bucks within the company. Satin states that he heard that Cody’s role within the company would be executibe producer of AEW events and TV if they sign a deal with a network.
The Young Bucks role would be as bookers, and other members of Being The Elite would serve backstage agent roles.
Longtime Ring Of Honor employee BJ Whitmer is also expected to be involved with the promotion in a backstage capacity according to Mike Johnson at PWInsider.
Satin also reports that several top WWE stars are watching closely at the developments of AEW, due to being unhappy with their current situation creatively they may be looking for a change of scenery.
Top stars such as AJ Styles, Shinsuke Nakamura, and Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson all have contracts that expire in 2019.
I also know of some popular WWE wrestlers watching what happens with All Elite Wrestling very closely, as they’re unhappy creatively and looking for a change of scenery.
