The WWE has announced a Number One Contenders Match is scheduled for Smackdown Live this Tuesday. The Triple Threat Match will have Becky Lynch vs. Carmella vs. Charlotte Flair.

The winner of the match will face Asuka for the Smackdown Women’s Championship at Royal Rumble on 1/27 in Phoenix, AZ.

Last week on Smackdown Triple H spoke with Asuka, and asked who she feels would be a good contender for her title. Asuka said she would face anyone, but then was interrupted by Becky Lynch, Carmella, and Charlotte Flair, who all gave reasons why they should face Asuka at the Royal Rumble.

The WWE accidentally aired a commercial on Main Event a few weeks ago announcing Becky Lynch vs. Asuka at the Royal Rumble. In storyline, Paige stated that match was cancelled due her requesting it when she was General Manager.

Carmella is already a confirmed entrant in the 2019 Women’s Royal Rumble Match after winning the Mixed Match Challenge with R-Truth.

Smackdown Live emanates from the Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena on 1/8/19 in Jacksonville, FL.
