All Elite Wrestling Events Scheduled

All Elite Wrestling made multiple announcements today including two events set to happen in 2019, the first being ‘Double Or Nothing’ on May 25th at the MGM Grand in  Las Vegas, NV .

The second event is scheduled to be titled “Fight For the Fallen”, with a tentative date sometime in this summer, and is expected to be at the Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena.

Conrad Thompson will be running his Starrcast event in conjunction with All Elite Wrestling on May 23 – 25. It will be a similar format as last year’s event.

Talent Having Favorable Schedules And Possibility Of Health Care

AEW President Tony Khan mentioned to Nick Hausman of Wrestling Inc that wrestlers will have favourable schedules, as he doesn’t want them too run down with too many dates.

Khan also mentioned the possibly of health care as well as well, as they feel positive in what they will do to take care of their talent, both inside and outside the ring.

Khan wants talent to have a much bigger role than just being wrestlers. He wants people to be able to work in management positions, and have roles outside the ring.

Original Plans For Double Or Nothing Venue

All Elite Wrestling originally wanted to do the ‘Double Or Nothing’ pay-per-view at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. They reportedly had a hold on the venue, then opted to go with MGM Grand.

Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that due to scheduling with the NHL’s Las Vegas Golden Knights, they could have ran into a conflict, depending on if the team was in the playoffs.

Two Television Deals On The Table

All Elite Wrestling currently has two television deals on the table according to Dave Meltzer. Neither deal is signed yet. AEW will focus on live events first, and eventually they plan on transitioning into television.
