WWE is reporting that John Cena is injured, and his appearance the 2019 Royal Rumble in in question.

The WWE states that the injury occured last week on RAW during the Fatal 4-Way Match between John Cena, Finn Balor Drew McIntyre, and Baron Corbin.

The WWE claims the ankle lock at the hands of Drew Mcintyre is what injured his ankle, as he was seen limping on it leaving the ring.

Cena apparently exacerbated the injury earlier today while training his legs working out in the gym.

It is unknown whether this injury is a storyline to get him out of the match, or legitimate as this point.
