Dolph Ziggler’s has not been on WWE television since 12/28, after losing a Steel Cage match against Drew Mcintyre on RAW.

His future with the WWE has been in question, and reports surfaced earlier this month that he may be done with the company.

He recently spoke with Chris Van Vilet regarding his current WWE contract, and what his future may hold.

In speaking on his current WWE contract, Ziggler states he has a ‘handshake agreement’, but is on hiatus with the company right now, despite the fact that he has been working live events.

Ziggler has worked several live events, most recently on 1/20 against Finn Balor and Drew Mcintyre in Wichita Falls, TX.

Dolph Ziggler, who lives in Phoenix, says he is not scheduled to appear at tonight’s Royal Rumble, but does have a comedy event following the show a few blocks from Chase Field.

Ziggler did provide some insight into his current deal, opening up a Pro Wrestling Tees store, and also states he would be a great addition to All Elite Wrestling.

Dolph Ziggler On Current WWE Contract

“It becomes a grey area, i have a weird life, even for a wrestler. so as of now, there is a couple different handshake agreements involved, sometimes things that aren’t written on paper”

Speaks On Opening Pro Wrestling Tees Shop Under Real Name

“Dolph Ziggler is not selling bootleg WWE merchandise out of his trunk, Nic Nemeth and his brother Ryan Nemeth are selling t-shirts to support different comedy causes, and things on the side”

On If He’s Going To Stay With WWE

“You know I can’t really answer that,  I don’t want to make some fake thing, or some sly thing, for now I am on hiatus from WWE, it took me like 10 years to get a weekend off, and this is it, so we’ll see where it goes. It’s very interesting, you see there is a handshake [agreement], it’s a different thing than what’s on paper. I’ve given everything, so we’ll see if there is anything else to give”

Speaking On All Elite Wrestling

“That is fantastic news, everyone seems like fans at heart, I don’t know too much about it. Everything seems so far that they are trying to give another option. Even if you don’t like them, the fact that is is happening, and may create some back and fourth, for people to step up their game. It’s so good for competition, the fans and the wrestlers.

I wouldn’t say I would be the next big signing, I would be the big signing. I have some other things going on at the moment, but that should be always be an option for anybody. especially for someone like me who’s been around for a long time, Drew McIntyre says I was riding his coattails, maybe I got to get the hell out of here.

You never know, I think it would be great, I think it would be a great addition to that company, I think it would be a great idea”
