Jay White Wins IWGP Heavyweight Championship

Jay White has captured the IWGP Heavyweight Championship after defeating Hiroshi Tanahashi at New Japan Pro Wrestling’s The New Beginning event in Osaka.

White defeated Tanahashi following his signature Blade Runner finisher to win the Championship in 30 minutes 28 seconds.

The Bullet Club leader defeated聽Kazuchika Okada at Wrestle Kingdom 13, and now has defeated Hiroshi Tanhashi, who held the title for under a month after defeating Kenny Omega.

Jay White is the 68th IWGP Heavyweight Champion.
