WWE has confirmed Tommaso Ciampa is set to undergo neck surgery tomorrow morning.
The NXT Champion is scheduled for an anterior cervical fusion, and will be out of action for an unknown amount of time
Anterior cervical fusion is a surgery to reduce or eliminate chronic pain in the neck and back due to a problem with the discs.
Tonight’s NXT television was pre-taped, and the next set of tapings is scheduled next Wednesday 3/13.
The company is expected to announce further plans for the NXT Championship at the tapings next week ahead of NXT Takeover: New York.
