Cody Files Additional Trademarks

Cody Runnels has a number of trademarks this week with the United States Trademark Office.

As first reported by PWInsider, Cody filed trademarks for “Battlebowl”, “Bash At the Beach”, and “Bunkhouse Stampede” on 3/18.

Fans of Jim Crocket Promotions and WCW will remember these names, as Battlebowl and Bunkhouse Stampede were all creations from Cody’s father, the late Dusty Rhodes. Bash at The Beach was a WCW pay-per-view first used in 1994.

The description for the trademarks indicate that it could be used for wrestling events. Whether that is Cody’s intention is unknown.

“Entertainment in the nature of wrestling contests; Entertainment services in the nature of a wrestling club; Entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibits and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer; Providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network Intent to Use: The applicant has a bona fide intention, and is entitled, to use the mark in commerce on or in connection with the identified goods/services.”

Cody previously filed trademarks for “The American Dream”, “The American Nightmare”, and Dusty Rhodes.

WCW previously owned the the trademark to “Bash at the Beach”, was was abandoned in 2004 following WWE’s purchase of the company.
