WWE Signs Two More Independent Stars

WWE continues to acquire new stars to begin training at the Performance Center in Orlando, FL.

According to Dave Meltzer in the latest edition of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Garza Jr. and Shane Strickland are both scheduled to report to the WWE PC on 4/9.

Garza Jr. was offered a deal last year, but did not pass medical evaluations. Strickland was also offered a deal, but had issues with his Lucha Underground contract that prevented him from joining WWE.

Strickland was originally set to leave Lucha Underground when Season 4 was completed this past October. Strickland was promised his release, but was faced with a situation where Lucha Underground wasn’t granting it.

Strickland officially became a free agent on 1/15 after being granted his Lucha Underground release.

Garza Jr. and his cousin current WWE star Humberto Carrillo were offered WWE deals last year. Carrillo, who was formerly known as Ultimo Ninja passed medical evaluations, and was signed to the company, while Garza Jr. did not pass due to shoulder issues.

Garza Jr.’s last appearance with Crash in Mexico is set to be 3/23.
