Charlotte Flair captured the Smackdown Women’s Championship tonight after defeating Asuka.

Flair made history becoming the first women to become an eight time champion in WWE.

In an unannounced match Charlotte Flair faced Asuka, and defeated her via Figure 8 leg-lock.

Going into Smackdown, WWE announced a fatal four-way match featuring Mandy Rose, Naomi, Carmella, and Sonya Deville, with the winner facing Asuka at Wrestlemania 35. That match was cancelled with no explanation

Wrestlemania 35 will now feature both the RAW and Smackdown Women’s Champions.

WWE is advertising “2 champions and 1 bad lass will collide over the RAW Women’s Title in the MAIN EVENT of Wrestlemania”

Based on the wording, it seems only the RAW Women’s Championship will be up for grabs, but that could always change.
