Bout Reportedly Cut Short Due To Blood

WWE cut short the United States Championship match at tonight’s Money In The Bank pay-per-view.

According to Mike Johnson at PWInsider, the match ended early due to blood. Samoa Joe appeared to have suffered a broken nose following a sit-down senton from Mysterio.

The match ended almost immediately after that move, yet WWE continued with the planned post match angle involving Joe attacking Mysterio.

Samoa Joe vs. Rey Mysterio match clocked in at 1:40 bell to bell.

Lars Sullivan’s head was also cut open, but not as bad, following his attack on Lucha House party.
