WWE most recently used pyrotechnics during SummerSlam last month in Toronto. After the company phased out the effect, it was only used for Wrestlemania, and Saudi Arabian pay-per-view events.
WWE removed pyro from weekly television and PPV events as a cost-cutting measure.
WWE plans on introducing updated stage sets beginning on the 9/30 RAW and 10/4 SmackDown. Both designs are expected to be different.
