Wednesday Night Wars: NXT and AEW Tie In Viewership This Week

For the first time in the Wednesday Night Wars, NXT and AEW Dynamite both averaged the same number of viewers.

Both shows averaged 778,000 viewers over their two hour episodes. However, AEW did win the the coveted 18-49 demographic, finishing 11th with an average rating of .28. NXT ended the night finishing 21st, averaging a 0.24 rating in the 18-49 demographic.

Next week’s episode will be the final head-to-head battle of the year. NXT has two title matches scheduled, Finn Balor vs. Adam Cole for the NXT Championship, and Rhea Rhipley vs. Shayna Baszler for the NXT Women’s Championship.

AEW has four confirmed matches, including Chris Jericho vs. Jungle Boy, Lucha Bros vs. Hangman Page and Kenny Omega, Britt Baker vs. Kris Statlander, and SCU vs. The Young Bucks for the AEW Tag Team Championship.
