Court Grants Sonya Deville’s Request To Seal Evidence
Sonya Deville has asked Hillsborough County Circuit Court to seal portions of evidence regarding her case against Philip Thomas II, the man who broke into her house with the intention to take her hostage.
On August 24, a motion was filed to have evidence sealed, including photographs which establishes her street address and characteristics of her residence, as well as messages that identify her family members.
HeelByNature.com has obtained a copy filing, which reveals Deville and her ex-girlfriend Ariana Johnson both qualify as “victim or witness at risk of harm”. Johnson has already been threatened by Thomas for her association with Deville.
The court granted that motion as Deville has been receiving additional threats from unknown individuals. The threatening messages included, “I’ll finish the job that Phillip started”, and “My knife is sharper than Phillp’s”.
Phillip Thomas II is charged with three felonies and one misdemeanor after being arrested on August 16, he remains in custody in the Hillsborough County Jail as bond has not been granted.

On August 27 a Temporary Injunction Hearing is scheduled in the case.
Sonya Deville lost a “Loser Leaves WWE” this past Sunday at WWE SummerSlam. She is expected to take time off from the ring. It’s unknown how long her hiatus will last.
