WWE RAW Tag Team Champions Have Been Absent In Recent Weeks
The weeks following WrestleMania usually entail champions receiving new challengers heading into the next year of WWE programming, however, this hasn’t yet happened with two champions over on Monday Night RAW.
Since picking up the titles at WrestleMania 37, AJ Styles and Omos have yet to make an appearance on the red brand. The Raw tag division, which consists of 3-4 teams, has continued to run in their absence.
The Raw Tag Team Champions recently appeared on WWE’s The Bump to discuss their win at WrestleMania, and the reason behind their absence.
Styles noted that the two have been ‘partying in Nigeria’ following their title win, whilst also announcing that they will be making their return next week.

Fightful Select (subscription required) has provided the real reason for the new Tag Champs absence. It was noted that at least one of the two “wasn’t cleared” following their match at WrestleMania, which saw them dethrone former Champions The New Day.
Styles’ win at this year’s WrestleMania made him a grand-slam Champion within the company, whereas Omos picked up his first title in what was his main roster debut.
