Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch were among the WWE stars who experienced travel issues on Monday as the company kicked off its post-Christmas tour.
WWE held live events in Madison Square Garden and Columbus, Ohio, but Rollins and Lynch missed the latter event due to a breakdown in the tour bus they were using to travel.
In a tweet, Rollins apologized and explained that by the time the bus broke down, they had no other option but to miss the show.
According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com, the bus was in Iowa over the weekend in preparation for the tour and it would have taken 9-10 hours to travel to Columbus, not taking into account the harsh weather conditions.
As a result, Rollins was replaced in the main event, which featured Austin Theory vs. Damian Priest vs. Johnny Gargano in a steel cage match.
The travel situation for WWE talent was described as a “total nightmare” and “beyond frustrating.”
