NXT Champion Reportedly Injured

Just a few weeks after being called up to the main roster, news has surfaced that NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa is dealing with an injury.

Dave Meltzer reports in the latest edition of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Ciampa is dealing with an undisclosed injury at the moment.

According to the report he has been working through the injury, with the idea of taking time off following NXT Takeover in April.

Ciampa was written out of any plans on television this past week, and is not listed for any NXT events this weekend. It’s unknown if he will be competing at next week’s WWE television or WWE’s Fastlane event on 3/10.

Ciampa ruptured his ACL in 2017, which kept him out of action for close to a year.
