First Women’s Match Not Approved At WWE Super ShowDown
The Saudi Arabian Government has nixed any plans to have a women’s match at today’s WWE Super ShowDown event in Jeddah.
Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer notes that government has not approved a match between Natalya and Alexa Bliss.
“Those in Saudi Arabia noted to us that Natalya vs. Alexa Bliss, a match they hoped to be a late addition on today’s WWE Super ShowDown event, was not approved by the Saudi Arabian government. The two women flew to Saudi Arabia this week with the crew.” Meltzer states
It remains to be seen if the women will appear in any fashion on the programming today. “On one hand, if they are able to get approval to have a women’s match on the November show in Saudi Arabia, they can at least bring out the women in front of the crowd today to promote it.” Meltzer added
Both Natalya and Alexa Bliss have been making appearances in the country, today they visited a children’s hospital.
