Tessa Blanchard will not be going to AEW, according to a report from the latest edition of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

It was noted that Tessa’s name has come up and they respect her talent, however AEW won’t be pursuing her right now.

The former Impact World Champion was stripped of her title and released from the company earlier this year. Shortly after, Eddie Edwards won the title in a triple threat at Impact Slammiversary.

Blanchard has only wrestled once since leaving Impact, and that was when she lost the Warrior Wrestling Women’s Championship to Kylie Rae back in September.

Meltzer didn’t give a reason to why AEW won’t be pursuing her. Blanchard was called out by several women’s wrestlers and talent earlier this year for her actions backstage, with her being accused of using a racial slur when referring to La Rosa Negra in 2017.

The Wrestling Observer also reported earlier this year that WWE ‘sent out feelers’ to Tessa following her release from Impact.
