AEW Continues To Tease Cody Rhodes vs. Shaquille O’Neil Match
Cody Rhodes will be addressing Shaquille O’Neil on next week’s edition of AEW Dynamite. Tony Schiavone announced the segment during this week’s episode.
The retired NBA legend appeared on an episode of AEW Dynamite last month, interviewed alongside Brandi Rhodes, who had her in arm in a sling following an attack by Jade Cargill a few weeks earlier.
Jade Cargill appeared briefly during this week’s episode, interrupting a match between Cody Rhodes and Peter Avalon.
Last August, Warnermedia teased a future appearance by basketball legend. Shaq made a cameo during an episode of Being The Elite, and was backstage at last year’s Full Gear pay-per-view.
Based on tonight’s announcement, it’s likely a match between Cody and Shaq is being built for the future.
