All Elite Wrestling will finally reveal the finished TNT Championship during Wednesday’s edition of AEW Dynamite.

AEW Executive Vice President and current TNT Champion Cody confirmed the news during a sit down interview with Tony Schiavone, .

“You will see it tomorrow night on Dynamite.” Cody stated “The finished…’Little Ruth’ here (TNT Championship), will be replaced. What a wonderful run, in a short span of time, throughout the pandemic and these shows we’ve been putting on.” (H/T to Sportskeeda for the transcription)

Last month, Cody revealed the belt was scheduled to debut during the August 12 episode, nearly 3 months after its original unveiling.

Cody became the inaugural AEW TNT Champion after defeating Lance Archer during the Double or Nothing pay-per-view this past May. The reception of the title wasn’t positive, with fans wondering why it wasn’t as appealing as other championships in AEW.

Red Leather, who was commissioned to produce the title took to Facebook to explain the challenges faced during the COVID-19 health crisis.

Platers are only working skeleton crews and only on emergency equipment. So the V2 will have nickel and gold plating added as well as another surprise.
