The Hurt Syndicate returned to AEW television on Fright Night Collision, and Triangle of Madness kept their titles.
Collision aired on October 31 on TNT and HBO Max, taped on October 28 at the Chaifetz Arena in St. Louis, Missouri. The Hurt Syndicate, Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin with MVP, beat Aaron Solo and Nick Comoroto in a squash. Lashley finished Solo with a spear, and MVP got involved with Griff Garrison at ringside. It was the group’s first appearance on AEW programming in some time.
Triangle of Madness, Thekla, Julia Hart and Skye Blue, defended the Artist of Stardom Championships against Hazuki, Koguma and Fuwa-chan. Hart sprayed mist in Fuwa-chan’s face while the referee did not see it, then Hart and Blue dropped Fuwa-chan on her face for the pin.
The main event saw The Cut, Juice Robinson, Austin Gunn and Colten Gunn, beat The Conglomeration, Orange Cassidy, Kyle O’Reilly and Roderick Strong. The finish came after outside interference, with Robinson hitting O’Reilly with brass knuckles for the pin. The Cut kept beating down The Conglomeration after the match and stacked them in the middle of the ring as the show went off the air.
Elsewhere on the show, Tommaso Ciampa beat Matt Sydal, Ilja Dragunov beat The Beast Mortos, Speedball Mike Bailey beat Darius Martin, Divine Dominion beat Nixi XS and Leela Feist, and Konosuke Takeshita beat Adam Priest. Ciampa will now challenge Andrade El Idolo for the AEW National Championship on next Saturday’s Collision. Persephone and Queen Aminata were also added to Blood and Guts.
Dynamite: Blood and Guts airs on November 4, with a men’s Blood and Guts match and a women’s Blood and Guts match on the card, and Full Gear follows on November 14 in Phoenix, Arizona.
What is confirmed is the results, the Hurt Syndicate return, and the Triangle of Madness retention. What is not confirmed is whether the Hurt Syndicate return leads to a program with a specific team, or what the full Blood and Guts card will look like.
