Jim Cornette, Dennis Condrey, Bobby Eaton, and Stan Lane filed a trademark for the name “Midnight Express” on 8/18. The name was used by multiple wrestling legends since the 80s, with Cornette best known as their manager.

Jim Cornette’s lawyer, responded to the image Janela posted, “We just trademarked that name a few months ago. Calling Megha now”. He was referring to AEW’s Chief Legal Counsel Megha Parekh.

It’s unknown if AEW has plans to actually use the name.
