AEW’s Cody Reportedly Taking Time Off

Following his attack on the most recent episode of AEW Dynamite, Cody Rhodes is expected to take some time off from All Elite Wrestling.

According to PWInsider, Cody is expected to be off television “for an extended period to sell the beating he took at the hands of Brodie Lee.” The timing  lines up with production of a new television series on STARZ titled “Heels”.

The eight-episode drama stars Cody’s friend Stephen Amell and Alexander Ludwig as brothers Ace and Jack Space. The show is about a family-owned wrestling promotion set in a Georgia.

Last year, Amell tweeted, ‘Hey @CodyRodes — wanna come and help me make a tv show?”

Stephen Amell tweeted a banner for the new television show Monday afternoon.

All Elite Wrestling is scheduled to provide an update on Cody following the storyline attack on this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite, which airs on Thursday due to the NBA schedule.
