Tony Khan doesn’t seem to be bothered by the viewership numbers, following NXT’s third straight week beating AEW.

In a statement on Twitter, Khan explained that ratings are what drive revenue, where AEW has consistently topped NXT, more specifically in the coveted 18-49 demographic.

If anyone thinks I consider being a top 7 show on cable anything but a huge win, they’re incorrect. A win in the demo is a win in the business, and this is a business. I know the industry wasn’t talking about the demo as much 20 years ago, but it’s what drives our revenue today.

Chris Jericho had a similar sentiment last week, explains to fans that networks and advertisers gauge how valuable a show is based on on key demographics.
