Mexican Wrestling Star Mr. Niebla Passes Away

CMLL veteran Mr. Niebla had died at age 46 due to complications from a blood infection.

The company issued a statement Monday.

CMLL joins the grief of the death of Mr. Niebla, who had an outstanding career in the history of this sport, placing himself as one of the greatest figures. Rest in peace

Mr. Niebla worked for CMLL from 1995 to 2007. He spent 2008 working for rival promotion AAA before returning to CMLL.

Throughout the years Niebla has had issues alcoholism, opening up about his addiction in a 2018 interview.

In September 2018, Niebla’s wrestling license was suspended, and pulled from CMLL’s 85th Anniversary Show.

He worked his last match for CMLL on 10/21
