Alex Shelley Set To Make NXT Debut Teaming With Former Partner Kushida

Alex Shelley will be reuniting with his former tag-team partner Kushida on next week’s edition of NXT on USA.

Kushida and Alex Shelley will be facing The Grizzled Young Veterans int he first round of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic.

Collectively known as the Time Splitters, the duo were best known for their time with New Japan Pro-Wrestling. They are former two-time IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Tag Team Champions.

Alex Shelley is also known for his time with The Motor City Machine Guns alongside partner Chris Sabin.

Shelley retired from pro-wrestling for a year, then returned to Ring Of Honor in 2019. He recently worked Ring Of Honor’s Final Battle pay-per-view in December, defeating Colt Cabana.

Alex Shelly took on a guest coaching role at WWE’s Performance Center last October.

It’s unknown what type of deal Shelley signed with WWE.
