Trademarks Filed Link New Wrestling Promotion “All Elite Wrestling” To Jacksonville Jaguars Owner Tony Khan

Last month rumors began to circulate that a new promotion was in the works involving The Elite, Chris Jericho, and Jim Ross. The original report from SEScoops outlined that groundwork has started on a new wrestling promotion backed by the billionaire Khan Family.

Today, WrestlingNews.co first reported that All Elite Wrestling trademarks have been filed with the United States Trademark Office.

The following trademarks have been filed by All Elite Wrestling Inc.

  • All Elite Wrestling
  • AEW Tuesday Night Dynamite
  • AEW Double Or Nothing
  • AEW All Out

The Tuesday Night Dynamite trademark has signs pointing to a program on Tuesday nights, which is now free since WWE his moving Smackdown LIVE to Friday’s.

The trademarks for AEW Double or Nothing and AEW All Out both have language that allows that name to be used for PPV streaming. The logo for AEW All Out has the “IN” in the ALL IN logo crossed out and replaced with “OUT”.

The trademarks all list their address as 1 TIAA Bank Field Drive, which is also home to the Jacksonville Jaguars (owned by Tony Khan)

With the Young Bucks contract ending with Ring Of Honor next month it will be interesting to see which route they take. Currently, Chris Jericho and Cody Rhodes are both working without contracts to any organizations.

The original story also stated that Jim Ross had ties to the group as well, his concert with AXS TV ends in December, and his WWE contract ends in April 2019.

Chris Jericho commented on a new wrestling promotions when the story originally broke last month, but seemingly might have been trolling fans about any involvement.

We have reached out to Chris Jericho’s management, as well as The Young Bucks for any comment regarding the new developments.
