Returning Superstar Could Face Daniel Bryan At Wrestlemania 35

WWE is currently in the process of finalizing their Wrestlemania 35 card. With just under 7 weeks away from the biggest event of the year, WWE still has time to make changesto marquee matches for the event.

According to Dave Meltzer in the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Daniel Bryan’s opponent for Wrestlemania could be a returning superstar, rather than someone he’s already been having programs with.

The WWE has several names that could be brought back, and according to internal discussion the following are on a list for possible return.

  • Bray Wyatt
  • Sami Zayn
  • Kevin Owens
  • Kurt Angle
  • John Cena
  • Batista
  • Undertaker

Meltzer discussed the possibility of Kevin Owens being his opponent would make sense, as Owens returning character is just an everyday guy.

Based on vignettes, Owens is your “average joe” who likes to eat fast food. This could create an interesting storyline between Bryan and Owens if the WWE does decide to go that route.

Meltzer believes it will not be Kurt Angle, and The Undertaker’s name returning for Wrestlemania is something discussed very recently, as originally they had no plans for him at the event.

We should get a better indication of who Bryan’s opponent will be following Fastlane, which is WWE’s next pay-per-view on 3/10.

Daniel Bryan’s opponent for Fastlane is set to be decided tonight on Smackdown Live.
