Backstage Update On Carlito’s WWE Status

Carlito returned to WWE this past Sunday at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view, making a surprise appearance during the Men’s Royal Rumble match.

He also appeared on this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW, teaming with Jeff Hardy against Elias and Jaxson Ryker.

According to PWInsider, Carlito has yet to sign a deal with WWE, but is expected to be back soon. He was praised internally for his work and shape.

Carlito has not signed with WWE but the expectation is that is just a formality. There was a lot of internal praise for his work and the shape he returned to the company in at the Rumble. He’s expected back soon.

 

Prior to Monday Night RAW, there was backstage chatter suggesting he would be receiving a tryout as a producer for the company,

Carlito was originally advertised to appear at the RAW Legends Night event last month, but did not want to return for a small apperance.

His last WWE appearance as during the 2014 WWE Hall Of Fame. His last WWE match prior to his recent return was in 2010.
