Bret Hart’s Attacker Previously Stalked MMA Fighter

Zachary Madsen, the suspect who attacked Bret Hart during WWE Hall Of Fame ceremony at Barclays Center appeared in court Sunday.

According to the New York Post, Madsen told police “I just felt like it was the right moment” when asked why he went after WWE legend Bret Hart.

Madsen is charged with assault and criminal trespassing following Saturday night’s incident where he attacked Bret Hart during his Hall of Fame speech. Madsen, who is from Lincoln, Neb, was ordered held on $1,500 bond at his arraignment.

The judge also issues an order of protection to Bret Hart and WWE security guard Thaddeus Jones against Madsen.

Madsen’s lawyer asked the judge not to sell bail, due to it being hard for him to come up with the money, arguing he was “agreeable and cooperative”.

Last September, Madsen was arrested for allegedly stalking MMA fighter Haris Talundzic.
