Deonna Purrazzo Slams Reports Regarding Steve Cutler’s Release

On Thursday, Steve Cutler was released by WWE shortly after returning to television alongside Wesley Blake and King Corbin.

Following Cutler’s release, reports emerged stating that Cutler’s release was due to the fact he caught COVID-19 in January, which stemmed from a New Year’s Eve party which which he attended along with his girlfriend and current Impact Knockouts Champion, Deonna Purrazzo.

Purrazzo has responded to the reports, stating how they attended a New Year’s Eve party ‘like dozens of other people’, and that Cutler wasn’t at work while being positive for COVID-19.

Upon being criticised for attending a party during the pandemic, Purrazzo said that her reasoning was that she has spent the past year with other guests and that they were tested every week.

Purazzo went on to imply that other people who also attended parties during the pandemic didn’t get fired by the company.

Deonna Purrazzo wasn’t the only person criticised for attending parties during the pandemic, with Kacy Catanzaro and Ricochet also celebrating New Year’s and Kacy’s birthday with other wrestlers from several different companies.
