Drew Gulak has made his return to Twitch.

Back in 2020, WWE issued an edict preventing its Superstars from using third party platforms to make money, such as Cameo and Twitch. At the time, a large amount of the roster were using these platforms, and thus the implementation of the rule was met with a lot of negative feedback.

Paige (Saraya Bevis), who was under contract with WWE at the time, was one of the Superstars who regularly streamed on Twitch. When the edict was introduced, Paige not only continued to stream on the platform, but spoke out against the rule.

Another Superstar to publicly respond to the edict was Zelina Vega, who sent out a Tweet regarding unionisation shortly before being released. Vega was brought back to the company almost eight months later.

Around the time of WrestleMania 38, it was reported that WWE held a backstage meeting where they told talent that they would once again be able to use third party platforms. While we hadn’t seen many Superstars actually begin to use the platforms again, Drew Gulak recently returned to Twitch.

In a now deleted tweet, Drew Gulak announced his return to Twitch and thanked ‘Papa H’. It’s unclear how much influence Triple H had on allowing talent to once again use third party platforms.

Since Vince McMahon’s retirement, many fans have taken to social media to thank Triple H for the better television product. This has been reflected in the viewership for Raw, SmackDown and NXT, with all shows seeing a bump in viewers in recent weeks.
