The action had to be stopped during Saturday’s New Japan Cup event due to an earthquake.

The earthquake occurred during a match featuring Kota Ibushi, Kazuchika Okada, Hiroshi Tanahashi vs. Yujiro Takahashi, KENTA, and Jay White. The show was stopped for approximately 20 minutes.

According to the Japan Meteorological Agency, an earthquake with a magnitude of 7.2 struck the coast of Miyagi, triggering a 1-metre tsunami. Luckily there were no immediate reports of damage.
