Edge may be out of action for quite sometime due to an injury that did occur during his match at WWE Backlash.

According to Fightful Select (subscription required), Edge suffered an injury during his match against Randy Orton, which was pre-taped on June 7.

Although no confirmation on the severity of the injury, details from backstage indicate Edge suffered an injury to his triceps.

It’s unknown if this injury will be noticeable during tonight’s broadcast of WWE Backlash, where the match will air.

Edge returned to WWE action this past January at the Royal Rumble, following a nine-year retirement.

His return to singles action happened at Wrestlemania 36, in a “Last Man Standing” match.

As more details are known on Edge’s injury, an update will be provided.
