Eli Drake Appears Ahead Of NXT Takeover

WWE has yet another former IMPACT Champion on their roster.

According to PWInsider, former Impact World Champion Eli Drake has signed with WWE’s NXT and will be part of the company’s upcoming Performance Center Class.

Drake recently appeared in the National Wrestling Alliance, where he won the NWA Tag Team Championships with James Storm. It was noted that Drake was quietly released from his contract last year.

Drake broke through on The Rock’s TNT reality series ‘Hero’, which led to him being signed by WWE where he worked in NXT from 2013-14. Following his release, Drake signed with Impact where he held the Impact World Title and Tag Titles before being released in 2019.

Twitter user @nikoexxtra posted a video to his Twitter which showed Drake, stand up to current NXT commentator Wade Barrett. Those in attendance reveal he is now going under the name LA Knight.
