In his debut match, Theory lost to Bronson Reed. Reed gained the victory following a splash from the top rope.

Theory signed with the company in August, and was shown ringside at NXT Takeover: Toronto.
Austin Theory is the current EVOLVE Champion, and will be defending his title on 9/21 against Josh Briggs at EVOLVE 136.
