Following reports of Michael Elgin seemingly being released from Impact Wrestling, details have emerged on a recent altercation involving him.

According to Fightful Select (subscription required), Michael Elgin and Sami Calihan were involved in a physical altercation at the recent set of Impact Wrestling television tapings.

According to the report, Elgin and Calihan were setting up a match, which also involved Ken Shamrock.

There was a disagreement on how the match should start, which escalated to to a fight between the two, that ended up being broken up by Scott D’Amore.

The match in question aired during the June 9 episode of Impact Wrestling on AXS TV.

The altercation between Michael Elgin and Sami Calihan is reportedly unrelated to Impact’s statement Friday, indicating he will no longer be featured on Impact Wrestling television.
