Former WWE Star Santino Marella is headed to Houston for the 2020 Royal Rumble.

According to PWInsider Elite, multiple sources have confirmed Marella will be in town for the WWE Royal Rumble.

It’s unknown if Marella will be in the Men’s or Women’s Royal Rumble match. Marela spent a short time playing the Santina character.

WWE is also filming material for the WWE Network that day, which may be the only reason he is brought into town.

In 2016, Santino was released from WWE. He has been running the Battle-Arts Pro-Wrestling and MMA school in Mississauga, Ontario.

He currently serves as a host on Sportsnet’s WWE preview show Aftermath. He also spent a brief period of time as a host for Behind the Lights on IMPACT Wrestling’s Twitch channel.

More recently, Marella made a special appearance during WWE’s RAW Reunion in a segment with Alicia Fox and Torrie Wilson.

In September 2019, Marella worked GCW’s Bloodsport II under his real name Anthony Carelli.

Santino Marela is a former two-time WWE Intercontential Champion, WWE United States Champion, and WWE Tag-Team Champion.
