Former WWE Star Gaspard went missing Sunday, after swimming with his 10-year old son at Venice Beach.

According to TMZ, Shad and his son were among a group in the water caught by a rip current around 4 pm.

One witness states that when lifeguards raced to rescue the group, Gaspard directed them to find his son first. Gaspard has not been seen since.

‘We had one of our lifeguards go out to make a double rescue of a father and a son,’ Kenichi Haskett, Los Angeles County Fire Dept Lifeguard Division told DailyMail.com.

‘The father unfortunately got pushed down by a wave as they were getting pulled out of the current. The lifeguard rescued and grabbed the boy, the son, and tried to grab the father as well.’

‘He ended up getting pushed down by a wave and we couldn’t find him and we immediately started with our rescue boats, called in additional lifeguards to search that location of his dad”

Divers were scouring the area until 7:30 pm, then resumed Monday morning.

Shad Gaspard is best known for his work in WWE, as one half of the tag-team Cryme Tyme. Gaspard alongside partner JTG had multiple stints with the company from 2007-2010.
