Melina Set To Make WWE Return

Former WWE Women’s and Diva’s Champion Melina is scheduled to make her return to WWE.

According to PWInsider, Melina has come to terms on a return with the company, and is set to appear on WWE programming within the next week. It’s unknown whether she will be featured on the RAW or SmackDown brand.

WWE was interested in having her appear at the 2020 Women’s Royal Rumble, but due her being under contract with the NWA those plans were nixed. Her deal with NWA has since expired.

She signed a developmental deal with WWE in 2004, debuting on the main roster the following year. She has held the WWE Divas Championship, as well as the WWE Women’s Championship on two occasions.

After her release in 2011, Melina worked on the independent scene for promotions such as WWC in Puerto Rico, MCW, and even Stardom in Japan. He last WWE appearance was part of the RAW Reunion in 2019.
