Kenny Omega’s New Japan Pro Wrestling contract ends at the end of January, and his next move has yet to be confirmed.
With all signs pointing to All Elite Wrestling, no contract can be signed until the end of the month, and he could always end up getting a better offer from WWE.
According to Dave Meltzer at The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Impact Wrestling was reportedly very close to signing Kenny Omega prior to All Elite Wrestling announcing their company plans.
Don Callis, the head of Impact Wrestling creative was involved in the discussions with Kenny Omega and Chris Jericho coming to Impact.
Chris Jericho mentioned on his podcast recently that he received a good offer from Impact Wrestling, but decided not to go that route. Jericho went as far as meeting with Impact officials during a stop in Toronto on his Fozzy tour.
Kenny Omega’s deal would have had him continue to work with New Japan, and do 30 dates per year for Impact.
Although Omega’s next move has not been announced, the bidding war is between AEW and WWE, with most thinking he will choose All Elite Wrestling.

MJF has extended his current contract with All Elite Wrestling, converting it into a multi-year deal.
