IMPACT Wrestling executive Bob Ryder has passed away after a long battle with cancer.

According to PWInsider, Ryder was found at his home this morning in Nashville, TN. He was still maintaining an executive position with IMPACT Wrestling while undergoing weekly chemotherapy treatments.

Ryder is instrumental in the internet age of pro wrestling, travelling to various events and providing updates on the Prodigy internet service chat rooms.

He eventually founded 1Wrestling.com, breaking a number of major stories in the late 90s. Ryder was hired by WCW, hosting internet streams with Jeremy Borash.

In 2002, Ryder assisted with the launch of TNA Wrestling with Jeff and Jerry Jarrett, and hds been with the company since.
