Jay White has captured his first IWGP Intercontinental Championship.
The title change occured during New Japan Pro Wrestling’s Destruction In Kobe event Sunday. In the closing moments of the match, Naito avoided a Blade Runner, tried to hit the Destino, which White avoided. White finally was able to execute the Blade Runner to gain the victory and the championship.
Following a post-match promo, Hirooki Goto attacked White to setup a program for the future.
