Luke Harper Leaves WWE, Granted Release

Another WWE Superstar has been granted their release today.

Following the news of Sin Cara’s release, WWE announced Luke Harper was granted his release from the company.

WWE has come to terms on the releases of Jonathan Huber (Luke Harper) and Sin Cara. WWE wishes them all the best in their future endeavors.

Luke Harper filed trademark for his independent name Brodie Lee earlier this month.

Harper publicly announced for his release earlier this year, and was not granted a break from his WWE contract.

Harper’s contract is set to expire last month, but the company extended it six months due to time missed during injury. He met with Vince McMahon, and asked if he could be released in November, since they have no plans on using him. Vince advised Harper to take it up with Triple H, who then did not respond to him.

Harper made a brief return to WWE, teaming with Eric Rowan, and performing at WWE live events.

It’s unknown if WWE has issued a no-compete clause following his exit.
